Position Description:

ARITHMOS, IT Company based in Verona, Italy, provides innovative IT solutions in three main business lines: life sciences, business management solutions, energy. Our offer includes IT products, services and consultancy.

Arithmos mission is to fill the technological gap with innovative IT products that will make it easier for our clients to manage their projects, conduct their clinical trials, fulfill pharmacovigilance needs, manage internal process with a business process outsourcing approach (BPO).

We are looking for a full time, permanent Business Development Manager to help Arithmos expand its business.

The purpose of the job is to acquire new customers but also undertake some account development activities. The BD Manager is also responsible for scouting and acquiring new partners to resell our products. Tasks include cold calling, client management, preparation, conduct and follow-up of conference attendance and exhibition, events, company presentations, bid defence meetings, contracts, and assistance with marketing campaigns and marketing material.

 Principal responsibilities include:

  • To Respect Sales metrics and Sales Target
  • To Identify, contact and visit potential clients and partners
  • To regularly communicate and feed networking with client representatives and key industry people
  • To Prepare bid grids, company presentation slide decks and support marketing campaigns
  • To Present/ moderate/ facilitate at bid defense meetings and other company presentations
  • To Support Finance and Administration in preparing and negotiating confidentiality agreements, master service agreements, and contracts or service orders with clients, partners and vendors
  • To Review and improve proposals and write executive summaries before delivery to prospects/clients
  • To Identify and secure preferred-provider accounts utilizing different outsourcing business models.
  • To Develop mutually beneficial partnerships such as reciprocal business arrangements
  • To manage indirect sales networks
  • To ensure regular customer feedback is recorded from customers
  • To collaborate with and hand over new projects to project managers
  • To ensure contact management system is maintained to effectively track personal activity and follow-up
  • To suggest strategic selling concepts
  • To organize, attend and exhibit at conferences
  • To contribute to the preparation of marketing material like brochures, flyers, newsletters etc.
  • To follow up industry news, market conditions, client’s financial status and technology changes
  • To initiate and implement improved departmental processes and procedures
  • To create strategic alliances for the Company both for suppliers and resellers

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • At least 3-5 years in an IT and/or process consulting firm with a focus on selling IT solutions preferably familiar with life sciences industry, digital innovation (e.g. digital transformation, big data management, artificial intelligence, …) services dedicated to Pharma, and involved in selling of IT solutions (both products and services)
  • Process consulting skills
