At this time of the year, I like to reflect on our successes and challenges of the last 12 months, and look forward to the new projects, opportunities, and continuation of valued partnerships that the coming year will bring upon us.
As we approach the end of 2023, I would like to thank our customers, partners, and employees for trusting Arithmos to hold their interests at heart, for the contribution to our fantastic industry, and for working with us towards our shared goal of improving patients health worldwide.
As many of our customers felt the effects of inflationary pressure, our focus this year was on delivering quality, value, and technology-enabled solutions that underpin efficient processes and reduce waste.
In January we announced the formation of the business consulting unit, which provided our customers with valuable insight into the most effective digitization strategies and appropriate technologies for their business. Our consulting team was instrumental in ensuring value for our customers, streamlining business services, and eliminating redundant tasks.
Following our ambitious expansion plan started last year, in 2023 Arithmos hosted two office events: in January the inauguration of our new office headquarters in Verona, and in September, we opened our newest office in Milan’s MIND (Milan Innovation District) to reflect our commitment to global growth and digitalization.
Innovation, as our core value, is at the centre of our projects. We are developing a solution to support the Italian independent Clinical Research community on the application process of «Decreto 30 nov 2021, art.3: transfer of data and results of non-profit trials for registration purposes».
We are working on solutions to foster innovation culture and processes in Life Science (industrial and academic context), with the partnership of the Catholic University of Milan and COMAU.
We are progressing in the evaluation of xR solutions in Clinical Research and we are working closely with the University of Bologna to implement AI solutions for management and quality assessment of electronic archives in Clinical Research. Another area of interest is related to designing services around standardised patient-centered Acceptance Testing over eCOA and supporting the creation, validation, and usage of digital end-point. Last but not least, we are investing in analytics and AI-related solutions for signal detection in Pharmacovigilance.
In May, we entered in partnership with Veeva, one of the leading cloud solution providers in the life science sector. Arithmos is now a Veeva Preferred Services Partner for the Development Cloud (Business Process/Strategy and Post Implementation Support). I am exceptionally proud of our team of Veeva certified consultants, and of the recognition of their expertise in business process strategy, implementation/post-implementation support, and training on the Veeva domain.
Another great milestone was the finalisation of the Systems Integrators Program Agreement with IQVIA. Arithmos now benefits from IQVIA technology offerings, designed to empower customers to coordinate and streamline R&D functions.
The year seems to have come and gone in the blink of an eye – as the saying goes, time flies when you’re having fun! As Arithmos grows, so too do the ideas, opportunities, and ways in which we can support our customers.
We are incredibly fortunate to count some of the Life Science industry’s most experienced and knowledgeable professionals in our number, and I look forward to the fruition of their plans, and the ambitions of our customers, in 2024.
