On Demand Webinar | Generative AI and Predictive Patient Safety

Feb 1, 2024 | Events, Webinars

We organised the Webinar “Generative AI and Predictive Patient Safety”, with the participation of Scientific Director, Sergio Scaccabarozzi, and guest speakers from Roche: Antonio Del Santo, Principal Medical Director, and Sriram Venkateswaran, Senior Safety Data Scientist.

The Webinar was full of insights. We are pleased to share the recording of the Webinar:

About the Webinar

The world of Life Science is undergoing a rapid evolution. The extraction and analysis of information are often not easy to use. This information is often not structured for evaluation using traditional IT methods.

The procedures used so far, i.e. manual review of patient notes, require a lot of time/resources and are difficult to scale. Thanks to artificial intelligence applications, in particular natural language processing, it is possible to identify and extract specific clinical details from electronic medical records.

In this scenario, the application of generative AI to Patient Safety allows us to have information quickly and with good reliability, to better profile the use of drugs or medical interventions in general. This also encourages a potential new development: Predictive Patient Safety.

The possibility of administering the right drug to the right Patient, and avoiding, reducing, or preventing side effects represents an important challenge for Pharmaceutical companies, a great opportunity for Healthcare systems, also from a sustainability perspective, but, above all, an opportunity and hope for Patients.

Who is the Webinar for?

This webinar is addressed to people working in Pharma companies in R&D, Medical Affairs, Patient Safety, regulatory, IT, market access, and innovation.

People from institutions, regulatory authorities, and scientific societies could have useful insight to be better prepared for the future to come.

What will you learn during the Webinar?

The webinar will provide participants insight into how the world of Patient Safety is moving, with an example of a practical application of a big Pharma company.

Q&A session

A Q&A session will be held at the end of the presentations.
